Lochlea Our Barley

The Lochlea - Our Barley is the first core release from our most local distillery.

This lowland single malt was matured combination of first-fill Bourbon barrels, Oloroso Sherry casks and STR barriques.

Lochlea ‘Our Barley’ sits at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.

Nose: Pear syrup, fruit bonbons, warm cut grass, marmalade

Palate: Golden syrup, pepper, rye bread, macadamia nuts, cream soda

Finish: Long finish with a lasting orange beeswax note

The recipe was carefully honed by Production Director John Campbell, Our Barley sits alongside the seasonal limited releases but is readily available.

For such a young distillery, Lochlea has produced consistently high quality whisky and we very much look forward to their future releases.
