Lochlea - Orchard & Oak

Lochlea Distillery has introduced a new addition to its core range of single malt whiskies, named "Orchard & Oak."

This release is a vibrant and fruit-forward expression, designed to showcase the distillery's versatility and the influence of carefully selected casks.

The whisky is matured in a unique combination of first-fill Bourbon, Virgin American Oak, and Calvados casks, each contributing to its distinct flavour profile.

The tasting experience begins with the nose, which presents sweet apple notes, earthy undertones, fresh-cut grass, and a hint of light floral aromas.

On the palate, the whisky delivers a dynamic flavor combination of fresh green apples, rich buttery caramel, grassy flavours, and a touch of oaky spice.

A pleasant finish follows, with lingering notes of sweet oak, caramel, and light cereal.

Orchard & Oak single malt is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural colour.
