Lady of the Glen - Craigellachie 12 year old

We are delighted to present this exceptional single cask release, showcasing the heavier, robust style of one of Speyside's unique distilleries.

Distilled on 20th January 2013 and bottled on 29th January 2025, this malt spent over 11 years maturing to achieve its complex character. It was bottled at natural cask strength (60.5% ABV) and is completely unreduced, delivering a powerful and authentic drinking experience.

The Cask & Character

This bottling is a superb example of multi-cask maturation designed to amplify the sherry influence. The spirit—known for its heavy body and fruit, spice, and floral notes—benefits from a fast fermentation, minimal reflux on the large stills, and the use of worm tub condensers.

It was first matured for 11 years in a highly active refill Oloroso butt. For the final flourish, it was finished for over 18 months in our warehouse in a different refill Oloroso hogshead, effectively "turbo charging" the layers of dried fruit and spice.

This rare release yielded just 332 bottles in total.

Tasting notes

Prepare for a rich and indulgent palate. The taste reveals notes of a warm cinnamon doughnut, dense rich fruit cake, and a sophisticated hint of rolling tobacco.
