Foursquare Collaboration 12 year old - Blended Malt

Mossburn Foursquare is the first in the annual Cask Collaboration Series from Mossburn Distillers & Blenders

This spirit started life as a classic expression of Speyside Malt Whisky, first aged for more than 12 years in ex-bourbon casks before re-aging in 38 American oak casks that previously contained mature rums, hand selected from the Foursquare Distillery in St Philip’s, Barbados

Bottled at batch strength this limited edition release is complex and well balanced as a malt lovers have come to expect from Mossburn Speyside Blended malt, with a subtle banana and vanilla on the nose, and rum/raisin undertones on the palate.

Tasting note from Mossburn;

Nose - Spicy and sweet with notes of peppermint, nutmeg, Christmas cake, marmalade and parsley.

Palate - Toffee apples, sweet spices and gingerbread. A little perfumed character and bitter orange peel.

Finish - Long, sweet, spicy finish.
