Campbeltown Loch - Blended Malt

This particular blended malt stands out as a unique representation of the region, as it thoughtfully incorporates all five distinct malts produced by Campbeltown's three operational distilleries.

The whisky is created using spirits from Springbank, Glengyle (the home of Kilkerran), and Glen Scotia.

The full range of malts—Springbank, Longrow, Hazelburn, Kilkerran, and Glen Scotia—are all brought together in this expression.

This spirit is then matured in a balanced combination of Ex-Bourbon and Ex-Sherry casks before being expertly vatted and bottled at the historic Springbank Distillery, which manages the production for most of the components.

The Tasting Notes:

Nose - The dram is introduced by a distinct buttery note and that characteristic hint of sea salt so often associated with the region, followed by comforting aromas of ginger loaf and pecan pie.

Palate - On the palate, you will discover creamy coffee, salted caramel, date syrup, and crystallised brown sugar, all carried along by a subtle undercurrent of peat smoke.

Finish - The gentle peat smoke gradually intensifies in the finish, allowing a pleasingly leathery note to develop over time.
